Noticing the plethora of articles decrying the voter turnout (rather, the lack of) in the US these days, I just wonder why no one has mentioned that no one votes because it just doesn't matter. It makes no difference. The poor keep getting poorer with no safety net available for those who are leaving the rapidly dwindling middle-class, and the rich get richer and richer while the politicians make decisions almost solely on the basis of lobbying from special-interest groups which really represent the corporations that have devoured America's soul. Yea, I voted, but it sure didn't make a difference. Not at all.

The year in ideas from the NYT Online. Registration required if you've never been there, but it's quick. There's some great ideas here - many of which you probably never caught during the day-to-day shuffle. I know I missed a bunch of them.
Counseling tomorrow. God I need it...
Wisdom of the day:
You can't fix anyone but yourself. Don't even try to fix someone else. They'll only resent it, and you'll end up frustrated. Fix yourself, and eventually (I hope), you will meet other fixed people.
