A Bold Idea Indeed

Okay, this is amazing: Get Out Of Our House, or GOOOH, is a radical political proposal that could only have come about in the age of the internet. Essentially, it's a plan to evict every single representative from the US House of Representatives and replace them with civic-minded citizens chosen by their peers with no ties to special interest groups. Honestly, I think it's a pretty damn sharp idea. I joined. I mean, honestly. Haven't you ever thought to yourself, "I could do a better job than those jokers in Washington?" And maybe you could! The vetting process seems likely to produce some good candidates, and the strict rules which they must follow seem - at the minimum - likely to prevent abuse of the system.
