I simutaneously love and hate this article. Yes, we can become who we want to be, I argue these points often to aquaintances who don't believe it. Yes, the past is a myth. Absolutely, but it does shape who we are, it doesn't seem feasible to pretend it never happened or not glean as much as one can from its experiences.
Get rid of the people in your life that don't measure up to your idea of yourself? That's the nebulous part. 'I've changed, my spouse hasn't so time for a divorce'. Isn't this one of the fundamental 'problems' of our society - the whim to disregard what doesn't suit us RIGHT now?
